The company also designed the poster for promoting collection and produced mini waste battery collection boxes for sending to household. Besides, 2 large-scale community collection councils were hold up successfully, and 4 community collection councils were hold up in the north region, mid region, south region, and east region. The collection councils’ purposes were combining the community volunteers and local environmental authorities, building up the model of collection and recycling activities by exchanging the experiences and learning on site. Referring to the results of waste batteries collection and recycling costs, the 2009 suggested proposed levies considering the collection fund revision for Mn-Zn alkaline battery is 33.28 NT dollars/kg and for primary Li battery is 105.62 NT dollars/kg. According to the test results of the sampling batteries, all 100 samples’ Cd and Lead quantity contents were complied with the regulation standard.
