Besides, Korea, China and India have planned the schedule to introduced RDE and the European RDE requirements are taken as the reference as well.The aim of the project is to understand the real-world emission from light-duty diesel vehicles, and to comply with the European legislations on light-duty diesel vehicles. In this project, three routes have been chosen to demonstrate 18 diesel vehicles (including Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles) RDE test in Taiwan. Additionally, in order to understand the particle numbers (PN) emission from gasoline vehicles, 3 gasoline vehicles with direct injection engines have been tested as well. Among the 39 tests results from diesel vehicles in the two years, the average which is 3.25 is slightly lower than statistics from ICCT which is 4.1. About 20% of test vehicles are compiled the RDE requirements. As for particle number, since DPF is needed for diesel vehicle to comply the current regulation, the real world PN meets the requirement.
