Pot experiments were conducted this year by cultivating radishes (Raphanus sativus) and pak-choi (Brassica chinensis Linn) as model crops into soil containing different organic matter in which differential concentrations of BDE-209 and carbofuran were spiked. In addition, SPME experiments were carried out in contaminant-spiked soils.
