The analytes that exceeded the Class C internal surface water quality standards were pH (1 out of 24), dissolved oxygen (3 out of 24), coliform group (24 out of 24), suspended solids (1 out of 24), biological oxygen demand (20 out of 24), ammonia nitrogen (24 out of 24). The analytes that exceeded the environmental standards were copper (25 out of 68) and manganese (59 out of 68). The monitoring stations that were found with copper exceeding the environmental standards were Tien Liao Bridge of Nan Gang River, Wu Ching and Nei Jyun Bridges of Hsin Jie River, Sha Jyun Bridge of Pu Hsin River, Chung Li rest area and Chung Fu Bridge of Huang Chian River.
