For the operation of the water environment watch, this study investigated the twenty-two counties and cities, honored the excellent water environment watch teams in ten sessions around Taiwan in 2014, and held three operation meetings to understand the problems of the operation of the water environment watch teams to propose suitable solutions according to local conditions. Besides, three work evaluation meetings for the county and city governments and one meeting for election of the excellent water environment watch teams were also held in 2015. Even more, In order to communicate with the public, eight public meetings for the key rivers restoration in Taiwan were held to promote the public participation and supervision. Finally, this study has done the analysis of the questionnaire and the interview results, the related literature review, and the case studies of the water environment watch teams. Based on these results, this study will conclude specific advices about the operation of the water environment watch teams and propose suitable solutions according to local conditions in the future.
