(2) Analysis was undertaken of the toxic chemical substance screening principles used in the European Union, the U.S.A., Canada, Japan and South Korea, and those specified by the Stockholm Convention and Minamata Convention on Mercury, to provide a reference for the revision of Taiwan’s screening principles. (3) A “Taiwan Environmental Hormone Watch-list” was drawn up for the reference of the inter-ministerial task force, and sampling was completed of 30 types of cleaning agents that are currently sold in Taiwan. (4) An industry impact survey was implemented regarding issues relating to cyanide plating, and a domestic use survey was completed with respect to six chemical substances including lead, with management recommendations being submitted.
