During ordinary periods, the center completed 1,153 media monitoring cases (including 323 domestic monitoring cases and 830 foreign monitoring cases) and 378 general consulting cases, for a total of 1,531 cases (the contractual requirement is at least 900). The center further notified EPA service units a total of 414 times (the EPA Public Relations received the most notifications—73); held five discussion and review meetings involving experts and participating units in response to the Sixth Naphtha Cracker Major Environmental Accident Response Exercise and provided response operation analysis data for chlorine, 1,3-butadiene, and acrylonitrile; and issued four volumes (a total of 19,143 copies) of this year's environmental toxic incident text message e-bulletin (volumes 42-45), which were browsed 337,084 times.
