The street washing water volume equates to 1.27tons/km, which complies with the Environmental Protection Administration’s regulation of 0.9ton/km. Regarding trash collection, the sweeping operation conducted by various township offices average to 12.38kg/km. The sweeping operation on national highway sections average to 31.42kg/km. The street sweeping and dust collection performance of the labor project averages to 2.24kg/km. Street dust TSP for paved roads in 2011 was estimated to be 23,207 ton/year, it is estimated that the figure in 2012 will be 31,689 ton/year. TSP for unpaved road was estimated to be 8,526/year, which will increase to an estimated 9,135 ton/year in 2012. During project implementation, three clean air zones were completed and five clean air zones were assisted for adoption, and an “Ecological Beauty Discover – Clean Air Sketching Contest” was organized. Through active investigation, 22 plots of non-construction bare lands were found, totaling 7.2 hectares. Follow-up investigations have shown improved conditions, with 20 plots of non-construction bare lands already paved or covered with vegetation, totaling 5.6 hectares. For 19 plots of non-construction bare lands investigated in 2010 (7.8 hectares), the project also conducted follow-up investigations; in particular, 14 plots have been improved through paving or vegetation, totaling 6.4 hectares. Of the 516 plots of vacant land, the highest percentage 17% were located in Luzhu Township, followed by Guishan Township and Xinwu Township with 13%. As far as distribution is concerned, Luzhu Township, Guishan Township and Xinwu Township possessed considerably more vacant lands than other townships. The investigation results of vacant land are uploaded to the Eco Life website of the Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan. Remaining information such as manpower/resource allocation, monthly planning and conclusion reports were all implemented as per the work content of the project.
