A total of 4.4955 million tone CO2e was emitted in 2013, 37.6% of GHG emission in the waste sector came from landfill, 37.3% came from municipal wastewater treatment, 24.1% came from the industrial wastewater treatment , 0.1% came from incineration, and 1.1% came from compost. 92.4% of greenhouse gas emitted was methane, 7.5% was nitrous oxide, and 0.1% was carbon dioxide.
