Assist the Chemical Bureau to promote the prevention and preparation of medium and long-term disasters, review the existing plans for disaster prevention and rescue of toxic chemical substances and consolidate performance reports, and comprehensively construct the results of the inter-departmental cooperation of the safe chemical environmental plan for a period of 4 years (From 2010 to2013), the total funding was 4,293.95 million. Assist the local governments, including New Taipei City, Changhua County and Hsinchu City to conduct toxic chemical hazard prevention and rescue drills, and propose scripts and drill methods; collect and analyze the drill methods and handling experience in the United States, the United Kingdom, India and other countries, and assist in the nationwide Toxic chemical disaster prevention and rescue drills; preparation of easy-to-read evacuation guidelines for the physically and mentally handicapped. In order to protect the health of emergency responders, and to understand the domestic antidote reserves and operations, we have collected information on 341 types of toxic chemical substances and 3 types of chemical substances of concern published by the Environmental Protection Agency, and studied and analyzed the management methods of relevant domestic business authorities. Establish an inter-ministerial cooperation and communication platform.
Coordinate with the aforementioned accident prevention and response and disaster preparation work to handle a number of special consultations, seminars and large-scale promotion activities were conducted.
