The laboratory glass instruments course affords an introduction of construction, instrument and apparatus, protective inspection and maintenance, and waste disposal of glassware. The laboratory pressure system course provides clear recommendations for the classification, operation precautions, hazards and protection content for different pressure systems.Regarding the chemical safety ＆ risk communication, we held a conference entitled “National College and University Communication and Learning Seminar for Chemical Experiment Safety Education”. The teaching and managing staff in charge for environmental safety and health in Colleges and Universities were invited to attend the conference and visited the laboratories of general chemistry, physical chemistry, organic chemistry, and analytical chemistry laboratories. A total of 67 participants actively shared knowledge and experience of chemical safety management and techniques.In addition, we have collected five chemical experiment accident cases and prepared a report after analysis and discussion. This approach combines accidental disaster as reference materials for chemical safety education.We have also completed 3 expert consultation meetings to discuss the outline and structure of chemical safety powerpoint teaching materials, and refine the final content. We also used the survey results from 41 colleges and universities to invite experts with rich experience in teaching or professional safety management to discuss and recommend strategies for feasible and optimized chemical safety education.
