These include three regulations concerning environmental impact assessments, guidelines for the use of Taiwan's eco-label (the Green Mark), and regulations governing the privatization of incinerator construction and operation. The full English texts of these regulations have been converted to HTML format and placed on the EPA's web site (http://www.epa.gov.tw/) on the "Laws and Regulations" page.An official of the EPA Laws and Regulations Committee indicated that the laws have been translated and made available through the Internet to facilitate international exchange. Readers should be aware that the English versions are for reference only, and that the Chinese versions promulgated by the EPA shall govern in the case of any discrepancies. The translation of laws and regulations will enter its second stage in 1998. At this time the EPA intends to complete translation of a set of eleven laws and regulations.
