Our group has intimately cooperated with Environmental Protection Bureau, Taichung City Government, mutually carrying out the authentication and ranking system for low-carbon sustainable homeland, Taichung City in 2015. These include the coordination of meetings for central-living circle of Taiwan, meetings for program promotion group, and the assistance of ranking review work, to maintain and operate the matters concerned in central-living circle of Taiwan. In the affairs of central-living circle of Taiwan, we have been responsible for the adoption of the two operating functions, including the establishment of technical groups for green transportation and sustainable management, and the coordination of related meetings. In the City Government, we have established the coordination group for crossing-organizations, to integrate the overall achievements of low-carbon at city level. We have coordinated the meeting for 29 districts, driving the neighborhood people of each district to participate the activities of sustainable homeland system, and finished holding 10 events of crossing-district union seminars. The cumulative attendants attained 924 visitors, and the collection for the people’s intention to participate the authentication system had 76 neighborhood/community units. We have actually assisted the people in 154 neighborhoods of 9 districts, explaining the contents of the system, inviting the participation of ranking, and assisting the writing of various documents and their uploaded. Through our effort described above, we have made Taichung City authority from not yet for the participation of the system through registration success, as finalists, and currently as candidates of bronze candidates in 2015. Among all the districts, 24 districts have participated the authentication of low-carbon sustainable homeland. Among them, Daan District, Central District, Shigang District, Wuchi District, and Longjing District have obtained bronze authentications, Wurih District has obtained bronze candidate, and the remaining 18 districts have been as finalists. Among all the neighborhoods, totally166 neighborhoods have participated the authentications. Among them, 103 neighborhoods have been as finalists, 21 neighborhoods have been as bronze candidates, 5 neighborhoods have been as silver candidates, and 17 neighborhoods have even already obtained bronze authentications. For the increase of incentives to improve district’s and neighborhood’s participation, this program has subsidized each neighborhood 100,000 dollars for five neighborhoods to build low-carbon action items. In addition, the complete built process has been shot as a 20-minute documentary short. Further, 20 neighborhoods which have obtained good ranking by participating system were selected to draw low-carbon site map.
