For ocean monitoring, there were 8 coastal area being monitored, 42 sampling sites were monitored quarterly. Sea water qualities near the river junction area were obviously influenced by the river during high tide, some test results of dissolved oxygen exceeding the regulation control were observed. There were also 5 beaches being monitored, 15 sampling sites were monitored biweekly during period of June to September. Among the 5 beaches, the water quality of Golden Coast Beach was the worst, and Chi-ching Beach was the best.
