This project had completed 101 times of patrol and inspection, 2 telephone-communication tests, 4 regulation promulgations/ toxic chemical disaster prevention workshops, 45 tests for detective and alarmed equipments, 9 drills with all-out, and 1 field support of chemical events, etc. In addition, the basic information, emergency equipments, locations of toxic chemicals, and detective and alarmed equipments were updated every month. In order to coordinate the Environmental Protection Administration’s (EPA) annual evaluation plan, we also assisted in preparing written materials and administrative supports.
With operation of inspecting and controlling for toxic chemical plan, aggregated defects that most factories happened then provided to factories reviewed, in order to reduce risk of toxic chemical incidents. By statistic, the incidence rate was much lower for toxic chemical operating factories in Yunlin county.
