The Customs Administration urges people to understand the ingredients of drugs before purchasing them on-line or entrusting overseas relatives and friends to send them from abroad. Drugs containing narcotics are not allowed to be imported personally. Therefore, before importing drugs for personal use, consignees must apply for an import certificate issued by the Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare (Taiwan FDA) in accordance with the Regulations on Management of Medicament Samples and Gifts.
