All expressed support for a ban. However, because of local differences in lifestyle, allowing local governments to set their own scope and timetable would greatly increase the feasibility of a ban.
Some proactive EPBs, such as Taipei City, have already proposed autonomous statutes for the ban of disposables. Others, such as Yilan County and Taichung City, are in the process of developing regulations.
