In addition to those concerning auditing activities, the EPA on July 9 announced regulations that will govern the process for collecting recycling revenues and delimit the uses of the fund. These are officially named Regulations Governing the Handling and Utilization of the Management Fund for the Recycling of General Waste and Waste Containers and the Regulations Governing the Handling and Utilization of the Management Fund for the Recycling of Specially Designated Waste and Waste Containers.Bureau of Solid Waste Control personnel have indicated that after establishment of the organizations and regulations, the next key step will be to set recycling fees for each of the items.
